Happy Father's day DC! I love watching Ellie. Mini aussies and border collies would make terrible poker players, just sayin. They rat themselves out every time they've done something naughty and they knew they shouldn't have. The faces of sheer guilt. LOL

It tickles me when you call something “ no chicken spring”. While we ALL know what you meant to say, none of us know just why we ( yes, I do it, too) do it. I often mix things up. I totally hate paint scratches so I have never put anything on a vehicle. Scratches make rust spots eventually.

I liked when Deere had more yellow on the equipment. The yellow gang disk and the yellow two post roll bar canopies yellow grain drill lids yellow reels. Just sure seemed to make the equipment pop back in the 70’s.

Open the hood to eliminate a flat level surface. That's smat thinking.

We drilled beans in for probably 20 yrs. Started with a seeder on the 3pt hitch of the tractor pulling a disc lightly behind behind. Tried that in a similar washout areas like you have. Liked the results, next year used it on some beans after winter wheat, again went well. Bought a 15' Deere drill ( about like you used), put in half our beans solid stand. The year after, drilled all our beans, never looked back. Eventually bought a 20' Tye drill. really liked it.
